Changes in Plans
Dear friends,
thank you so much for your plans to celebrate with us. Unfortunately, due to immigration scheduling circumstances beyond our control, Rebecca and I have been forced to postpone our wedding by at least two months. We apologize for the inconvenience. This was truly unforeseen. We would still love to have you all there when we finally do get married, although we understand the challenge of planning to be at a wedding once, let alone twice.
Our hope at this time is to be married sometime in July or August 2006. Please let us know if you would like us to keep you posted on how this all develops.
We will be going ahead with our Canadian reception on May 14th, as plans have been made and things are in place. The only real change is that instead of leaving with Rebecca and her family after the reception to go to West Virginia, I'll be staying in Canada until such time as I clear the immigration requirements necessary to gain entry to the USA.
We are frustrated, but trust God that His timing is far better than ours, even when it isn't necessarily clear to us. Thanks, and again, our apologies for the inconvenience to your schedules.
Sincerely,
Andrew,
for the future Mackays

My dear dear young man,
I thank God that you were able to write this in the midst of your disappointment and frustration. Continuing to pray for you both, and whenever you celebrate the covenant relationship He has planned for you I want to be there with bells on!
Love
Aunt Deb
Drew,
I am so sorry to hear this! We'll be praying for you.
